Online Reporting to the Sheriff

You can file your report online—no waiting required.  Once submitted, we’ll review it and email you a case number if approved. If it doesn’t qualify, we’ll let you know. We may also contact you if we need more information.

Reporting a minor collision?

If there are no injuries and vehicles aren’t blocking traffic, you can report it here. Be sure to exchange information first, then visit the Washington State Patrol website.

Before you start, make sure:

  • It’s not an emergency (call 9-1-1 if it is)
  • The crime is not happening right now
  • It happened in unincorporated Grays Harbor County or Oakville
  • It did not happen on a state freeway
  • You’re not reporting a lost or stolen firearm
  • You are the victim
  • There are no known suspects
  • There’s no evidence left behind
  • You have a valid email address
